Sidr honey is often called the “Manuka of the East” because of its high levels of antioxidants, antifungals, and antimicrobials. Sidr honey is a medium dark amber coloured honey from apiaries set up where Sidr(Ber) trees abound in the dry regions of Rajasthan and Haryana, India. The flavour is medium sweet, earthy with a mild bitter aftertaste. The viscosity, flavour, fragrance and colour of raw honey is unique to the floral source, the climate of the region, age of the honey and other factors.
